Fundamentals of Innovation and Technology: S1–S2 Students Engage in Immersive VR & AR Learning

To foster technological literacy and empathy among students, our school recently organized an immersive VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) experiential learning session for S1 and S2 students as part of the Fundamentals of Innovation and Technology curriculum.

The program was structured into two core components designed to bridge cutting-edge technology with real-world applications:


Empathy Through VR:
Equipped with VR headsets, students gained a firsthand perspective of how athletes with disabilities participate in sports. This immersive experience allowed students to step into others' shoes, cultivating deep empathy and a stronger commitment to social inclusion.

Interactive AR Workshop:
During the hands-on workshop, students created interactive 3D models to examine how augmented reality integrates into daily life. The session encouraged creative problem-solving and practical engagement with emerging digital tools.

Our school remains dedicated to advancing STEM and innovative education, empowering students to learn through active exploration—embodying our school year motto: "We grow, then we glow. We glow, and in this light, we grow even further."

創新科技基礎課程:S1-S2 學生參與 VR 與 AR 體驗學習活動

為培養學生的創新科技素養及同理心,本校日前於「創新科技基礎課程」中,為中一及中二級學生舉辦了一場兼具前瞻性與教育意義的 VR(虛擬實境)及 AR(擴增實境)體驗學習活動。

活動透過雙軌形式進行,旨在讓學生了解前沿科技的實際應用:

VR 沉浸式體驗:培養同理心與共融精神
學生戴上 VR 頭戴式裝置,以第一身視角切身感受殘疾運動員參與體育賽事的過程。活動打破了傳統課堂界限,讓學生在體驗創新科技的同時,學習換位思考,深化對社會共融與無障礙環境的理解。

AR 創意工作坊:探索科技與日常生活的連接
在導師指導下,學生於工作坊中動手設計並製作互動式 3D 模型。透過親身操作,學生進一步探索擴增實境技術在日常生活中的多元應用,激發邏輯思維與創作潛能。
本校將繼續推動優質 STEM 與創科教育,讓學生在實踐中學習,正如本學年主題所言:「We grow, then we glow. We glow, and in this light, we grow even further.」
