School Debate Team Triumphs in Round 1 of Hong Kong Secondary School Debate Competition (HKSSDC)

Our School Debate Team achieved a remarkable victory in Round 1 of the Hong Kong Secondary School Debate Competition (HKSSDC), competing against Tsung Tsin Christian Academy and securing a triumphant start to the new academic year's debate season.

The motion for the debate was "This House Believes that economic policies should be made by a panel of expert economists rather than elected officials." Tackling this sophisticated governance and economic topic, our debate team demonstrated outstanding critical thinking, meticulous research, and seamless collaboration.

Special recognition goes to Tiffany Ip (S.4), who was awarded the prestigious Best Speaker award in recognition of her exceptional analytical depth and persuasive delivery.

This success highlights the dedicated mentorship of Mr. Trottier, the invaluable guidance from S.5 student mentors, and the enthusiastic support from S.3 observer debaters. As our school celebrates its 30th Anniversary, this accomplishment perfectly reflects our school motto: "We Grow, We Glow, and We Go Beyond." 本校英文辯論隊於日前舉行的「香港中學英文辯論比賽」（Hong Kong Secondary School Debate Competition, HKSSDC）第一回合賽事中表現卓越，成功擊敗崇真書院，喜迎新學年比賽季的開門紅。

是次辯論比賽的辯題為「經濟政策應由專家經濟學家小組而非選任官員制定」（This House Believes that economic policies should be made by a panel of expert economists rather than elected officials）。面對複雜的經濟與政策議題，本校代表隊成員展現了深厚的邏輯思維、嚴謹的研習態度及高度的默契配合。
