HKUST Public Lecture on "Calligraphy and Science: Historical Heritage and Contemporary Cutting-edge Research on Chinese Calligraphy Culture"

On 3 September 2026, 5D students attended the public lecture organised by The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). The lecture provided our senior students with a valuable interdisciplinary learning platform, illustrating how modern scientific analysis and advanced research can be integrated with traditional Chinese humanities. The speaker demonstrated how scientific inquiry can deepen our understanding of calligraphy techniques, historical preservation, and artistic execution. Through engaging presentations and discussions, students gained fresh perspectives on connecting STEAM concepts with traditional arts.
Our school actively encourages students to participate in public academic lectures hosted by tertiary institutions to enrich their learning experiences, foster cross-disciplinary thinking, and build a strong appreciation for Chinese cultural heritage.

香港科技大學「書法與科學：中國書法文化的歷史傳承及當代前沿研究」公開講座

本校 5D 班學生於9月3日參與了由香港科技大學（HKUST）主辦之「書法與科學：中國書法文化的歷史傳承及當代前沿研究」公開講座。
是次公開講座為高中學生提供了一個寶貴的跨學科學習平台，展示如何將當代前沿科學分析與傳統中國人文藝術相結合。講座中，講者從科學視角出發，解析書法運筆、材質保存及藝術展現背後的科學原理，讓同學們深切體會到 STEAM 元素與傳統文化藝術交融的無限可能性。
本校一向致力鼓勵學生參與由大專院校舉辦的各類學術活動，以擴闊跨學科視野、培養批判性思維，並加深對中華優秀傳統文化的體認與傳承。
