Moral, National and Civic Education

To promote moral values and a positive attitude, the junior forms in our school use the professional course Paths to Adulthood, which is funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The course seeks to enhance holistic development by developing student abilities in all aspects. This is done by recognising their existing abilities, enhancing their bonding with others, and helping them to develop positive beliefs and set clear goals.

The senior forms pursue similar goals by engaging in discussions about current events in the world after watching educational videos. We develop our school-based moral and civic education through the use of our campus TV, and every year we organise some cross-curricular learning activities strongly related to current events and issues such as the tsunami, WTO 6, Beijing Olympics, Sichuan Earthquake and Healthy Lifestyle. For national education we organise an annual study tour to the motherland, visiting cities like Beijing, Nanjing, Xian, Jiangxi, Yunnan and the Yangtze River (the Three Gorges Project).
