Moral and Civic Education

To promote moral values and a positive attitude, the junior forms in our school use the professional course Paths to Adulthood, which is funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The course seeks to enhance holistic development by developing student abilities in all aspects. This is done by recognizing their existing abilities, enhancing their bonding with others, and helping them to develop positive beliefs and set clear goals.

The senior forms pursue similar goals by engaging in discussions about current events in the world after watching educational videos. We develop our school‑based moral and civic education through the use of our campus TV, and every year we organize some cross‑curricular learning activities strongly related to current events and issues such as the Tsunami, Avian Flu, WTO 6, Beijing Olympics, A Healthy Lifestyle, the Anti‑Drug Campaign and elections in HK. For national education we organise an annual study tour to the motherland,  visiting cities like Beijing, Nanjing, Xian, Jiangxi, Yunnan and the Yangtze River (the Three Gorges Project).
