75th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (2023) - English Choral Speaking Competition Champion
Our S4 students excelled in the 75th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (2023) - English Choral Speaking Competition hosted by Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association. They delivered a remarkable performance of the poem "The Mouse and the Lion" and emerged as the champions of the competition. We are delighted to share some reflections from the students themselves on this remarkable achievement:
“I think this choral speaking competition is a very special experience, because I thought I couldn't remember all the lines in the poem and the actions, but I did it eventually. And I think this choral speaking competition has helped me to be prouder and braver.” – Agnes Chan, 4A
“Being part of the choral speaking group has been an inspiring experience. Collaborating with each other, we create memorable memories. Although it is challenging, it helps me to build up my confidence, and develop teamwork skills. The judge's positive comments were rewarding. It is a valuable experience that always reminds me to carry the lessons of collaboration and self-expression. It also fostered me in personal growth and left me a deep appreciation for the art of choral speaking.” – Emily Tam, 4C
“It is my first time participating in a choral speaking competition since the pandemic, and I have been thoroughly enjoying the training these days. I have learned to have team spirit during practices, and I am proud that we got the championship!” – Lui Pui Ying, 4D
