A Celebration of Asian Culture: S3 Students to Experience Hinotori by YAMATO at OLE Festival
The school is delighted to announce a spectacular highlight of the 2025 Secondary Three (S3) Other Learning Experiences (OLE) Cultural Activities Festival, themed 'Asia+ Festival'. This year, our students will be immersed in the vibrant artistic tradition of Japan through an unforgettable performance titled, Hinotori – The Wings of Phoenix, presented by the world-renowned ensemble, YAMATO: The Drummers of Japan.
This performance is far more than a musical show; it is a profound cultural experience that will transport the audience on a powerful and passionate sonic journey. The production showcases the unique allure of Wadaiko (Japanese traditional drumming) and encapsulates the dynamism and spirit inherent in Asian cultural heritage. The sheer force, precision, and pulsating rhythms delivered by the drummers are anticipated to be deeply moving and inspirational for our students.
This OLE activity aligns with the school's commitment to broadening students' horizons and cultivating an appreciation for global arts and cultural diversity, providing a valuable opportunity for aesthetic development and cross-cultural understanding.
